This is how you delete Entitlement.ecml file

 

  • Terminate QuickBooks process before proceeding.
  • Now using your keyboard use a key combination of Ctrl + Shift + Esc. This will launch the Task Manager.
  • Look through all running processes by selecting the option of Process Name header.
  • Look for a process like QBW32.EXE and then end the task.

 

Now you have to open entitlement folder for OS version of QuickBooks.

 

  • Open RUN Window by pressing Windows Key + R
  • Enter there :  C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8 (or v6) and simply press Enter Key.
  • Now Choose and right click on EntitlementDataStore.ecml file and select the option of delete.
  • Press yes for confirmation dialog box.
  • Now Open QuickBooks and re-login.
